The Centre for the Advancement of
SMEs in the East of Scotland Concrete Construction Industry contributes to the
provision of a comprehensive advice and support service for local small and
medium sized enterprises. The Centre seeks to assist in the development of SME
entrepreneurial spirit and confidence through provision of knowledge required
to modernise practices, improve efficiency, product quality and sustainability
and, in so doing, enable firms to become more competitive, environmentally
friendly and contribute towards growth in the construction industry.
The Centre employs specialist advisors and an expert Advisory Steering Group to
guide procedure, facilitate dissemination of technical advances, monitor
progress and ensure success.
To
encourage SME development through knowledge provision and technology transfer
and assist in the advancement in levels of efficiency, product quality,
sustainability and competitiveness, and ultimately contribute towards growth in
the Regional and National concrete construction industry.
